On Friday we were at Twelve Oaks Mansion in Mars PA. The event was a wedding reception for Chad & Natalie Booher. We have always enjoyed performing at Twelve Oaks Mansion and this day would be no different.
Chad & Natalie were married at Twelve Oaks Mansion in a ceremony performed by Reverend Wayne Seamans of Weddings by Wayne. The wedding ceremony was held indoors in “The Library” which is separate from the ballroom and normally used for cocktails & hors d’oeuvres. The room is rather large and was able to easily accommodate all of the guests during the ceremony. We were setup in the rear of the room and provided the ceremony music as well as a wireless microphone for Reverend Seamans.
We began playing prelude music at 6:00 pm as guests arrived and were seated. The ceremony started promptly at 6:30 pm with the processionals, for which Natalie & Chad had selected non-traditional ceremony music. They opted for songs such as “Bless The Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts and “She’s Everything” by Brad Paisley. Reverend Wayne Seamans did a wonderful job performing the ceremony which lasted approximately 25 minutes.
After the ceremony, guests moved to the main ballroom where they enjoyed appetizers, as the bridal party went outside for photographs. Once done with photos, we formally introduced the bridal party into the hall. Natalie & Chad then played “The Newlywed Game” which was followed by toasts from the best man, maid of honor and matron of honor.
Dinner was served buffet style and as we have come to expect, the culinary staff at Twelve Oaks Mansion had prepared an incredible meal. The weather ended up being beautiful that day which allowed for the dinner buffet to be placed on the outdoor patio, which is located just off the main ballroom. This is something that “Weather Permitting” I would encourage to brides & grooms, which opt for buffet service at Twelve Oaks Mansion. It frees up some space within the ballroom, plus allows for your event to quickly continue after dinner, since we do not have to wait for the buffet to be removed from the dance floor.
After dinner, Natalie & Chad shared in their first dance together as husband and wife to “Livin Our Love Song” by Jason Michael Carroll. After the remaining formal dances, we then opened up the dance floor and guests danced to music from Michael Jackson, Van Morrison, Justin Timberlake and more. The wedding reception wrapped up at 11:30 pm as guests danced the last dance to “Save The Last Dance For Me” by The Drifters.
