On Saturday we were at Twelve Oaks Mansion in Mars Pennsylvania. The event was a wedding ceremony and wedding reception for Jarod and Amy Perschke. Amy & Jarod were married at Twelve Oaks Mansion in the Library. The ceremony started at 3:30 pm and was presided over by the grandfather of the groom Dr. Thomas Taylor. For the ceremony, we provided audio equipment, including a wireless microphone for the Officiant and a PA system for pianist Cookie Salak. Cookie was accompanied by violinist Mary Huegel.
The ceremony lasted approximately 20 minutes, at which time guests moved from the library to the main ballroom, where they enjoyed cocktails and appetizers. During this time the bridal party posed for pictures with professional photographer Bob Mason of Bob Mason Photography. I have worked with Bob Mason on several occasions and he is an excellent wedding photographer.
At 4:45 pm we formally introduced the bridal party to the song “Get Ready For This” by 2Unlimited. We then introduced Amy & Jarod to “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz. After the introductions, Amy & Jarod shared in their first dance together as husband and wife to “Truly, Madly, Deeply” by Savage Garden. They then cut their wedding cake to the song “Sugar, Sugar” by The Archies.
Dinner was prepared by the culinary staff at Twelve Oaks Mansion and the meal was absolutely incredible. As most of the guests were finishing their meal, we dimmed the house lights and directed everyone’s attention to a large video screen where we displayed a photo montage featuring Jarod & Amy. The photo montage was created by Amy’s mother Kathy Zdilla who is a local wedding photographer.
After dinner, Amy & Jarod shared in a dance with the bridal party to “I Cross My Heart” by George Strait. Next, Amy danced with her father Jim Zdilla to “Butterfly Kisses” by Bob Carlisle and Jarod danced with his mother to “What A Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong.
Through out the remainder of the evening, guests danced to music by Sean Kingston, Usher, AC/DC, Michael Jackson and more. The wedding reception ended at 10:00pm as we invited all of the guests to share in the last dance of the evening to “Save The Last Dance For Me” by Michael Buble.
