On Saturday we were at The Grand Ballroom at Cornerstone Commons in Butler PA. The Event was a wedding ceremony and wedding reception for Christopher and Danielle Orth. If you are a regular reader of our BLOG, you may remember reading about a wedding we did 7 weeks ago for Sean & Laura McKain at The Atrium in Prospect PA. Well, today’s wedding is for Sean’s sister Danielle.
Christopher and Danielle opted to have both their wedding ceremony and wedding reception at The Grand Ballroom. Guests began to arrive at The Grand Ballroom around 3:00 pm as Violinist Seth McCall played softly in the background. The processionals began promptly at 3:30 pm and the ceremony was officially under way. Reverend Henry Hall Jr. performed a lovely wedding ceremony which lasted about 25 minutes. After being officially pronounced husband and wife, Christopher & Danielle, along with the bridal party and parents, went to Diamond Park in Butler for photographs.
While the bridal party was posing for pictures, guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers at The Grand Ballroom. During this time, Sue Stein (from Cornerstone Commons) and I transitioned the room from wedding ceremony to wedding reception. We moved the beautifully decorated Arbor, which was used for the ceremony, to the cocktail room, where it would later be used for photographs. I then setup a large video screen and video projector in the main ballroom where the Arbor previously stood.
After returning from taking photographs, we had all of the guests seated and then formally introduced the bridal party into the hall. After the introductions, I invited all of the guests to direct their attention to the dance floor as we dimmed the house lights and started an 8 minute photo montage featuring Christopher & Danielle.
After the photo montage, Chris & Danielle shared in their first dance together as husband and wife to “I’ll Always Be Right There” by Bryan Adams. They then cut the cake prior to toasts by the father of the bride Mr. “J” McKain and best man Mr. Sean McKain. Dinner was prepared by our good friends at Jody’s Pantry and was served buffet style.
After dinner Danielle & Chris played “The Newlywed Game” prior to the formal dances. Danielle then danced with her father to “Wind Beneath My Wings” by Bette Midler and Chris danced with his mother to “I Hope You Dance” by LeAnn Womack.
Once we opened up the dance floor it was only a matter of minutes until the dance floor was full. This group of guests absolutely loves to dance! Throughout the evening, guests danced to songs from Journey, Michael Jackson, The Righteous Brothers, Soulja Boy and more. As you can tell from the photos below, everyone had a blast. The reception wrapped up at 10:30 pm as we invited all of the guests to share in the last dance of the evening to “Wonderful Tonight” by Eric Clapton.
