On Saturday we were at The Chadwick in Wexford Pennsylvania. The event was a wedding reception for Bill and Tammy Patton. Tammy and Bill were married at 3:00 pm at the Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cranberry Township. Guests began to arrive at The Chadwick shortly before 4:00 pm where they enjoyed cocktails and appetizers.
At 5:15 pm Bill, Tammy and the rest of the bridal party arrived in style, in a large trolley that was provided by Molly’s Trolleys of Pittsburgh PA. Upon arrival, the bridal party spent a few moments enjoying appetizers and champagne in the bridal suite. This is one of the features that The Chadwick offers that I really like. When you hold your wedding reception at The Chadwick, they include a bridal suite, which is a separate room from the ballroom, where your bridal party can freshen up and relax for a moment, prior to the introductions.
At 5:30 pm we formally introduced the bridal party into the hall to “Get Ready For This” by 2 Unlimited. We then introduced Bill & Tammy to “Let’s Get It Started” by Black Eyed Peas. After the introductions, Tammy and Bill cut the cake to “You’re My Best Friend” by Queen followed by a toast by the best man Mr. James Swick.
Dinner was prepared by The Chadwick and was served buffet style. One thing that we have gown accustom to over the years is the wonderful food and friendly service provided by The Chadwick. Lynda and the rest of the staff at The Chadwick have always been great to work with and tonight was no different.
After Dinner, Bill and Tammy shared in their first dance as husband and wife to “Amazed” by Lonestar. They then danced with the bridal party to “Can’t Help Falling In Love” by Elvis Presley. However, rather than Elvis singing the song, tonight the song was performed live by Mr. Doug Evans and he did an incredible job. Tammy then danced with her father to “I Loved Her First” by Heartland followed by a dance with her mother to a wonderful song called “Every Mother’s Dream” by Teresa James.
We then opened up the dance floor and throughout the evening guests danced to music from Journey, Sir Mix-A-Lot, Black Eyed Peas, Usher and Nickelback. One of the funniest moments came when we invited groomsman Mike “Big Daddy” Alexander to the dance floor and he led several other groomsmen and the groom through “Strokin” by Clarence Carter.
The Chadwick’s wedding reception package is a 6 hour package, so at 10:00 pm we invited Bill and Tammy to share in the last dance of the evening to “Last Dance” by Donna Summer. Many of the guests were not ready for the fun to end, so Bill invited everyone that wanted to keep the party going to head over to the Quaker Steak and Lube in Cranberry for an after party.
