The Butler Country Club in Butler PA

The Butler Country Club, located approximately 30 miles north of downtown Pittsburgh, is situated on a spectacular 130 acre property just minutes from the Butler County Airport. Established in 1908, the Club is a fabulous facility with beautiful appeal both inside and out. From the gently rolling terrain of the golf course, to the surreal interior of the club house, the Butler Country Club is a great place to hold your wedding ceremony or wedding reception.

The club house, which was renovated in 1993, provides a spectacular setting for family, social and business occasions. In addition to the grand ballroom, you will also find a beautiful dining room, a member’s cocktail lounge, a private dining room and an outdoor covered patio.

The ballroom, with its spectacular floor to ceiling windows on 2 walls, can easily accommodate 250 to 300 guests with the adjacent banquet room. There is a large cathedral ceiling and recess lighting through out the room. There are also large brass chandeliers over the built-in hardwood dance floor. The room is all white in color and has luxurious wall to wall carpeting.

There is another banquet room located adjacent to the main ballroom which is normally used for cocktails, appetizers, cookies, the gift table and a place card table. This room is well decorated and quite large. However, I do not recommend keeping guests confined to this room during the cocktail hour, due to the lack of seating. We have found that it works best to allow guests to mingle between the cocktail room & main ballroom throughout the event.

The Butler Country Club offer’s the following multiple wedding packages. All of their packages include a professional wedding coordinator to assist with the events of your reception, including introduction, toast and cake cutting. Packages also include a four hour open bar with a professionally trained bartender(s). A Champagne toast is provided for all guests as well. These packages also offer a custom made wedding cake, including your anniversary tier, designed by the Butler Country Club Pastry Chef. Some of the other items included in the above mentioned packages are; beautiful custom-made floral centerpieces for all dining tables, table linens of your choice in white or ivory and your choice of colored cloth napkins.

Meals at the Butler Country Club are prepared by Chef William Kennedy Ward of McCandless Township. Chef Ward is the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director of The Butler Country Club. He has won countless awards & decorations including 8 gold medals and the best of show award at the 1998 Culinary Olympics held in Frankfurt, Germany. Although most brides & grooms opt for sit-down dining, The Butler Country Club also offers a wedding buffet option. They will even allow you the freedom to assemble your own wedding package from a list of Ala Carte items.

In addition to wedding receptions, The Butler Country Club can also assist with providing a location to hold your wedding ceremony. They offer an outside covered patio surrounded by the greenery of the golf course and a beautiful view.

Many people mistakenly overlook this great banquet hall because in years past the Butler Country Club required that you were a member to have your wedding reception there (it is a private club). However, over the past several years they have relaxed their policy and made it easier for non-members to utilize this great location.
