On Saturday November 15, 2014 we were at the Robert M. Smith Student Center which is located inside Slippery Rock University. The Event was a wedding reception for Stephanie and Ryan. Stephanie and Ryan booked our Deluxe Entertainment Package which includes whole room up-lighting. Stephanie and Ryan chose a purple color to be displayed during cocktails and dinner and they opted for the computer controlled light show during open dancing.
Stephanie and Ryan were married at 3:30 pm in the Theater Room which is also located inside of the Robert M. Smith Student Center. After the ceremony, guests transitioned to the inside of the main ballroom where they enjoyed cocktails and appetizers as the bridal party posed for photographs.
Stephanie and Ryan did an wonderful job thinking outside of the box with regards to decorations. Their centerpieces were all “Board Games”. Every table had a different board game setup and this was tied in to their escort cards (as opposed to using numbered tables). They had Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Uno, Life, and many others.
At 5:00 pm we formally introduced the bridal party into the ballroom and then Stephanie and Ryan shared in their first dance together as husband and wife to I Do (Cherish You) by 98 Degrees. However, this was no ordinary first dance. Part way through the dance, the newlyweds broke into an awesome choreographed dance routine. You have to watch the video below to see it.
Next, toasts were offered by the maid of honor and best man prior to dinner. Dinner was prepared by the staff at AVI Food Systems and was served buffet style. After Dinner, Stephanie danced with her brother-in-law in memory of her father. After Stephanie’s dance, the couple took the microphone to welcome all of the guests and thank them for coming. But this was no ordinary welcome speech, because Ryan (and his groomsman Chris) ended up surprising Stephanie with a hilarious choreographed dance number. Again, you have to watch the video below to see it.
Throughout the remainder of the evening, guests danced to the sounds of DJ Pifemaster until the wedding reception ended at 10:00 pm.
Here is the music that Stephanie and Ryan chose for each of the formal events:
- Bridal Party Introduction – Turn Up The Music, Chris Brown
- Bride & Groom Introduction – I’m Gonna Get You Baby, Bizarre, Inc.
- Bride & Groom First Dance – I Do (Cherish You), 98 Degrees
- Bride & Brother-in-Law Dance – Take Good Care Of My Baby, Bobby Vee
- Last Dance – Bye Bye Bye, N Sync
