On Saturday November 14th 2009 we were at the PPG Aquarium inside the Pittsburgh Zoo. The event was a wedding reception for David and Amber Roberts. Amber and Dave were married at 4:00 pm by Reverend Mark DeNuzzio in a wedding ceremony which was held at the West End Overlook.
Guests began to arrive at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium around 6:30 pm where they were shuttled from the main entrance of the Zoo over to the Aquarium. Guests spent the next 45 minutes enjoying cocktails, appetizers and of course; the beautiful scenery.
At 7:15 pm we formally introduced the bridal party in to the aquarium to “Bring Em Out” by TI. We then introduced Dave and Amber to “Sirius” by Alan Parsons Project (The Chicago Bulls Theme Song).
Dinner was prepared by the catering staff at the Pittsburgh Zoo and was served sit-down style. After dinner, Amber and Dave cut their wedding cake to the song “How Sweet It Is” by James Taylor.
We then invited the newlyweds to share in their first dance together as husband and wife to the song “These Are The Days” by Van Morrison. Next, Amber requested a special dance with her grandfather Mr. Kenneth Cleveland to “Rose Of My Heart” by Johnny Cash and Dave danced with his mother Ms. Phyliss Roberts to “A Song For Mama” by Boys II Men.
Throughout the remainder of the evening, guests danced to music by Rihanna, Jamie Foxx, Outkast, Bon Jovi and more. At one point the groom and several of his friends even did a hilarious dance to Ballroom Blitz from the Wayne’s World Soundtrack.
The wedding reception ended at 11:30 pm as we invited all of the guests to share in the last dance of the evening to “That’s What Friends Are For” by Dione Warwrick.
