On Saturday we were at the Lenape Heights Golf Course and Banquet Facility in Ford City PA. The event was a wedding reception for Andrew and Ashley Gapinski. The wedding celebration of Andy and Ashley began with their wedding ceremony at 2:00 pm at the Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in East Vandergrift PA.
Guests began arriving at the Lenape Heights Golf Course at 4:00 pm, where they enjoyed cocktails and appetizers. The bridal party arrived shortly after 4:30 pm and went out onto the golf course for photographs.
At 5:00 pm we formally introduced the bridal party to “Beautiful Day” by U2 and then introduced Andy and Ashley to “Viva La Vida” by Coldplay. After the introductions, the maid of honor Miss Amber Hempfling offered a toast to the newlyweds followed by a toast by best man Mr. Owen Brown. The aunt of the groom, Mrs. Christine Hutton then blessed the meal. Dinner was prepared by the culinary staff of the Lenape Heights Golf Course and was served buffet style.
After dinner, Andy and Ashley cut their wedding cake to the song “This Will Be An Everlasting Love” by Natalie Cole. During the cake cutting, the groom’s mother, Mrs. Linda Gapinski brought out a special groom’s cake that she had personally made. This was a very unique cake that was made out of Chicken McNuggets from McDonalds. The story behind the cake is that Andy always eats Chicken McNuggets (be sure to check out the pictures in the photo gallery).
We then invited the newlyweds to share in their first dance together as husband and wife to “Love Of My Life” by Jim Brickman & Michael W. Smith. Next, they danced with the bridal party to “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” by Elton John. Ashley then requested a special dance with her father Mr. David Rumbaugh to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw and Andy danced with his mother Mrs. Linda Gapinski to “Thank You For Loving Me” by Bon Jovi.
Andy and Ashley had also included an anniversary dance and the winners were Mr & Mrs Jim & Carol Hiles who have been married for 53 years. Jim and Carol then posed for a photograph with Ashley and Andy. Shortly after the anniversary dance we held the bouquet and garter toss. The bouquet catcher was Miss. Haley Vocheck and the garter catcher was Mr. Zack Talmadge.
Throughout the remainder of the evening, guests danced to songs from The Clarks, Bon Jovi, Montgomery Gentry, Cheap Trick and more. Shortly after 11:00 pm we invited all of the guests to share in the last dance of the evening to “Save The Last Dance For Me” by Michael Buble.
