On Friday August 06th 2010 we were at one of our favorite banquet halls, Greystone Fields, which is located in Gibsonia Pennsylvania. The event was a wedding ceremony and wedding reception for Nicholas and Brenda Smith. Guests began arriving at Greystone Fields at 4:30 pm as we played prelude music. Prior to the ceremony, there were a few isolated rain sprinkles. However, the skies cleared up just in time and at 5:00 pm the ceremony got underway.
The wedding ceremony was presided over by Dr. Chris E. Marshall and lasted approximately 25 minutes. At the conclusion of the ceremony Brenda and Nick held a receiving line to greet guests as they entered the reception hall. For the next 45 minutes guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers as the bridal party posed for pictures.
At 6:15 pm we formally introduced the bridal party to “Song For A Young Queen” by Chris Thile. After the introductions, we invited the newlyweds to share in their first dance together as husband and wife to “As Time Goes By” by Dooley Wilson.
Dinner was prepared by the catering staff at Classy Catering of Oil City Pennsylvania and was served buffet style. After dinner a toast was given by the best man and brother of the groom Mr. Brenden Smith. We then invited Nick and Brenda to cut their wedding cake to the theme song from “2001, A Space Odyssey”.
Throughout the remainder of the evening, guests danced to music by Michael Jackson, The Kingsmen, Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton and more. At 9:30 pm we invited all of the guests to share in the last dance of the evening to “Come Fly With Me” by Frank Sinatra. After the last dance, all of the guests were given bottles of bubbles and everyone headed out front where they gave Nicholas and Brenda a bubble sendoff.
