On Saturday we were at the Butler Days Inn Conference Center in Butler Pennsylvania. The event was a wedding reception for Travis and Lisa McDougal. Travis and Lisa were married at 3:00 pm at St. Louis Church in West Sunbury PA. Guests began arriving at the Butler Days Inn at 5:30 pm where they enjoyed cocktails and appetizers as the bridal party posed for pictures.
At 6:15 pm we formally introduced the bridal party to “Dynamite” by Taio Cruz. Since Travis is from Pittsburgh and Lisa is originally from Cleveland, we introduced Lisa and Travis to a mix of “Here We Go Steelers” and “Who Let The Dogs Out”. After the introductions, Travis and Lisa played The Newlywed Game and then cut their wedding cake to the song “From This Moment On” by Shania Twain. A toast was then given by the matron of honor and her husband, Ryan & Sherri Klingensmith.
Dinner was prepared by the culinary staff at the Butler Days Inn and was served sit-down style. After dinner, we invited the newlyweds to share in their first dance together as husband and wife to “What A Difference You Made In My Life” by Ronnie Milsap. Next, Lisa had requested a special dance with her father Mr. Alan Marhefka to “I Loved Her First” by Heartland and Travis danced with his mother Mrs. Judy McDougal to “Because You Loved Me” by Celine Dion.
Throughout the remainder of the evening, guests danced to music by Vanilla Ice, Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson, AC DC, Usher, Lady Gaga and more. At 10:30 pm we invited all of the guests to share in the last dance of the evening to “What A Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong.
