On Saturday we were at The Alyson Anne Barn at Armstrong Farms in Saxonburg Pennsylvania. The event was a wedding ceremony and wedding reception for Jarod and Richelle Sterrett.
Jarod and Richelle opted to hold their wedding ceremony in front of the garden arbor, near the edge of the pond. We started playing prelude music at 2:30 pm as guests started to arrive. The ceremony began at 3:00 pm with the procession of the grandparents and parents. Reverend Wayne Seamans of Weddings By Wayne performed the wedding ceremony which included a “Sand Blending Ceremony”. We highly recommend the sand ceremony as opposed to a Unity Candle for any outdoor wedding reception. Lighting of a Unity Candle would have been impossible on this day, due to high winds.
The ceremony lasted approximately 20 minutes, after which Jarod & Richelle held a receiving line. Once all of the guests had gone through the receiving line, the bridal party remained outdoors for photographs with Nina Reznik of Miss Nina Photography. Guests proceeded to the Alyson Anne Barn where they enjoyed cocktails and appetizers.
Shortly after 5:00 pm we formally introduced the parents & bridal party into the hall to the song “Bitter Sweet Symphony” by The Verve. Jarod and Richelle were then introduced to “Clocks” by Coldplay. After the introductions, Jarod & Richelle cut the wedding cake to “Baby I Need Your Loving” by The Four Tops.
Dinner was prepared by Medure’s Catering in New Castle Pennsylvania and was served buffet style. After dinner the newlyweds shared in their first dance together as husband and wife to “Angel” by Jack Johnson. Jarod & Richelle then danced with the bridal party to “Bless The Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts. Next, Richelle had requested a special dance with her father Mr. Richard Weil to “I Loved Her First” by Heartland and Jarod danced with his mother Mrs. Lisa Sterrett to “Because You Loved Me” by Celine Dion.
Throughout the remainder of the evening, guests danced to music by Justin Timberlake, Wyclef Jean, Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson and more. At 10:00 pm we invited the guests to share in the last dance of the evening to “I’ve Had The Time Of My Life” by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes.
