Sean and Laura McKain Wedding
On Saturday June 06th 2009 we were at the Atrium in Prospect PA. The event was a wedding reception for Sean & Laura McKain. This was the second wedding that I did for this family. I was the DJ for Erik & Alicia Udovich’s wedding at the Grove City Country club back in August of 2008 and I will be the Disc Jockey for Sean’s sister Danielle McKain when she gets married to Christopher Orth on July 25, 2009.
Sean & Laura were married at St. Marks in downtown Butler at 3:30 pm and guests began to arrive at The Atrium around 5:00 pm where they enjoyed Cocktails and Hors D’oeuvres.

Shortly after 6:00 pm the bridal party arrived in a huge stretch limousine followed by the bride & groom who arrived in a classic Dodge car, driven by the parents of the groom, “J” & Michelle McKain. This classic car is owned by Jack McKain, the grandfather of the groom and has provided transportation for several generations of McKain children as they have gotten married through the years.
After formally introducing the bridal party, guests were warmly welcomed by the father of the groom “J” McKain. This was followed by wonderful toasts by the best man Dave Montgomery & maid of honor Megan Graham. Dinner was provided by Jody’s Pantry and was served buffet style. We have worked with Jody’s Pantry many times over the past several years and I feel they are one of the finest caterers in Western Pennsylvania. Not only do they offer full service catering, they also provide wedding cakes & cookies as well. Keep an eye out for more information on Jody’s Pantry as they will be featured in our “Vendor Spotlight” section in the near future.

After Dinner, Sean & Laura shared in their first dance as husband which was followed by a bride & father dance and a groom and mother dance. The anniversary dance was next and the winners were the grandparents of the bride Mr & Mrs George and Marie Orenchak who have been married for an incredible 62 years. However, they were not the longest married couple in attendance. The grandparents of the groom, who unfortunately had to depart shortly before the anniversary dance, actually celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary that very day. We would like to congratulate Mr & Mrs Bernard & Madeline Carbin on their 64th wedding anniversary!
The remainder of the evening was filled with fun and excitement as guests danced to everything from “Soul Man” by The Blues Brothers to “Boom Boom Pow” by The Black Eyed Peas. There was NEVER a moment throughout the event that the dance floor was not completely full. The wedding reception ended a few minutes after 11:00 pm as all of the guests shared in the last dance with Sean & Laura to “I’ve Had The Time Of My Life” by Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes.
I look forward to seeing most of these guests again in about 7 weeks at Cornerstone Commons in Butler for Daniel McKain & Christopher Orth’s wedding reception.

I am Laura’s mother and I have to say I never had so much fun at a wedding! You are the best DJ! You kept everything rolling from introductions to toasts to cutting the cake to individual dances… The music selection was excellent as you played the “older” music (rock ‘n roll) at the beginning ending with the new tunes that kept the dance floor filled the entire evening.
Thank you for helping to make my daughter’s wedding one of the most memorable weddings ever!
Cathie,
Thank you for the wonderful comment. I am so glad that you enjoyed yourself. I hope you will be attending Sean’s Sister Danielle’s wedding on July 25, 2009. I will be the DJ for that wedding also.
Thanks again,
Robert Pfeifer
I am the sister in law of the bride. This is a little late but wanted to also say that I’ve never been to a wedding where I didn’t leave the dance floor all night! That is the way it should be! You were awesome! You definitely made Laura and Sean’s wedding one to remember!!!
