Armstrong Farms is a nearly 200 year old family farm, consisting of over 1000 acres, in Southeastern Butler County. Located in the historic town of Saxonburg Pennsylvania, Armstrong Farms has been in continuous family ownership since it’s acquisition in 1816.

Owners John & Cathy Allen opened up the farm as a Bed & Breakfast in 1996 and shortly there after began hosting wedding receptions and other social events. Today Armstrong Farms has 3 separate facilities, each offering brides & grooms a very special and unforgettable wedding weekend!

Westminster Preserve
The Pennsylvania Bank Barn at Westminster Preserve was built in April of 1862 and has since been fully restored and updated. This barn features a magnificent wrap around porch that spans 2 complete sides of the barn. Having been host to hundreds of weddings since it first opened, Westminster Preserve is surrounded by natural habitat, manicured lawn, pasture, wetlands and woodlands. It also boasts the 3.5 acre Love Pond, which is the perfect setting for unique and serene wedding ceremonies.

Alyson Anne
A second Pennsylvania Bank Barn, located at the Alyson Anne Farm Campus, offers a more intimate and cozy feel and is nestled amongst century old oak & maple trees. The original hand hewned broad-axed beams, wooden floors and fieldstone foundations are restored and provide a most creative and unique setting. The Alyson Anne Farm also contains a large pond with a beautifully landscaped garden arbor, which is a wonderful location for an outdoor wedding ceremony.

Fieldstone
The newest addition at Armstrong Farms is the Fieldstone Barn. Completed in April of 2009 this Bank Barn was constructed by fine Amish Craftsmen and includes a host of modern amenities such as acoustic and thermally insulated walls, heating, air conditioning, and even internet access. Unlike the other two facilities, Fieldstone will be available year round for weddings. Outside, you will find a beautifully landscaped waterfall with a small Koi pond, a large wrap around porch and plenty of close parking.

I have been to Armstrong Farms many times through the years and John & Cathy Allen have been nothing less than wonderful to work with. They have received many awards including a 2008 “Best Pick” for Weddings in Pennsylvania by “The Knot”. How many people does the FieldStone hold? Thank you.

    • Heather,

I contacted Cathy Allen from Armstrong Farms and confirmed the capacity for each of the 3 Barns. They are as follows:

Alyson Anne – Max 200 Guests
Westminster Preserve – Max 140 Guests
      Fieldstone – Max 140 Guests

Hopefully this information will help you.

      Sincerely,

I noticed your sign was on fire today when I was coming home from golf. You were not there, but I told your next door neighbor. I put some water on it, but I only had a couple bottles. I hope all is well.

We have recently been invited to a wedding at your Fieldstone Barn site. A question we have is whether the women’s bathroom is accessible for someone who must use an electric scooter for mobility and needs to have someone assist in transfers to use the commode. Thanks for considering this question. Some sites have ‘family friendly’ sorts of restrooms, which are a commode room with only one commode and much room to move the scooter about for the best position. Perhaps yours might be like this. Thanks

The Fieldstone Venue at Armstrong Farms has wheel chair accessible bathrooms for men and women. The stalls also have convenient hand bars. There is air conditioning as well.
